Our meeting at the Lovett Memorial Library of 7/16 was lightly attended, but showed that our Heroes are listening and making use of the information that we pass on to each other. Heroes Theresa and Lisa were in attendance and both happily reported that the information they gathered at the meeting in June helped them both handle their caregiving situations in a better frame of mind. As their situations are similar in that their mothers are their “patients”, it was interesting to see the changes in their demeanors. They both seemed happier and less stressed. It was so good to hear that we have been a help to them and improved their situations. Yay, Heroes!!!!
We had Carolyn Browne of Crossroads Hospice Care as our presenter for the evening and her information gave us greater understand of what hospice is and how we can make better use of these services. She was very involved in our exchange of suggestions and listened to our stories and offered some helpful hints along the way. Thank you, Carolyn, for your assistance.
Thank you, Heroes, for your loyalty and support. Keep up the good work.
As a note: The North Penn mtg. of 7/20 was cancelled due to construction in the lower level in our meeting place.
