FUNDRAISER PARTY IS A GREAT HIT!!!

Boomers ‘R Heroes Celebrated our First Anniversary with a Fundraiser Party.  I hosted the Gold Party Girl, Mary Kay and my Jeannie Beadies as fundraising consultants on Saturday, September 8th at my mom’s home.  It started out as a small buzz in my head that I have to raise some funds as my money ran out before the month and it was getting hard to keep things afloat.  This is as “non-profit” as anything can possibly get and the finances are stressing me out.  Soooooooo, I found a way to raise some money. First, last year, I started making jewelry after I’d broken a bracelet and redesigned it and found that I had a knack for it.  With the development of Jeannie Beadies and the advice of my sister, Michele, I was encouraged to continue moving forward with designing my beaded ID Blings, Bracelets, and Earrings.  In August I started making match Necklaces to complete the sets.  I made so much stuff, but unless I sell them, I’m not making money.  My sisters Karlyn and Michele have been loyal patrons and I cannot thank them enough for their encouragement, but I needed to do more, so the fundraising idea came to mind.  I had connected with Toni Hackett, my Mary Kay Beauty Consultant and she was on a 50 faces in 50 days challenge.  We talked about doing something together but I felt we needed another vendor so I searched the internet for a gold buyer in the area as I know that Gold Parties are very productive.  I found the Gold Party Girl and with finding her we settled on the date and time and off we went.

We had a good turnout of 12 guests who brought their gold with them, received a check from The Gold Party Girl, had a beauty consultation/purchases from Mary Kay and purchased some Jeannie Beadies jewelry, Boomers 'R Heroes' fundraising jewelry line.  It was a success and a good time was had by everyone.  I’m so happy that I followed through on this party as my family & friends are stepping up to contribute.  Beyond the actual attendees, I received a donation from my aunt Pat and a promised from two other friends to make donations, and/or buy some jewelry in support of this fundraising effort.

My heartfelt thanks to everyone for your support and love.

Respectfully Submitted,

Jean Kirkley
