What is brh?
BOOMERS ‘R HEROES Caregiver Support Group Meetings and Grief Support have been designed to offer CAREGIVERS (present and past) the resources to replenish yourselves. During these meetings and workshops our instructors/contributors offer you a sanctuary for a few hours, helping you move forward with your life and healing. Help is available, it’s all around you…but you have to seek it out. You have to ask for it. You need replenishment and validation. BOOMERS ‘R HEROES is your resource. boomers 'r heroes The “baby boomers” of the world have quite a legacy to carry out. We are now the “Sandwich” generation caught between having raised our children and caring for our aging Parents. There’s an ever growing need to juggle much more than we ever dared to think about.
As many of us enter our mid to late 60s or more, we are faced with extremely tough decisions which may also include our elders and spouses' long-term care and now facing a need of care for ourselves. Nothing is guaranteed. BOOMERS 'R HEROES provides a safe place to download from the stress and strain of taking care of everyone else, including pleasing your employers, while managing not to neglect yourselves in the process. You are important, too! You need to feel free to voice your fears, your needs and seek self healing in a nurturing environment; sharing with those who are currently and have recently walked in your shoes. Help is available, it’s all around you…but you have to seek it out. You have to ask for it. You need replenishment and validation. That’s why BOOMERS 'R HEROES was developed….to help you seek help for yourself….to get a respite from your care-giving duties, thereby, regaining a positive life perspective. Your voice, as a caregiver, will be heard. My name is Jean and I am a Hero....and so are YOU!!! Jean Kirkley, CEO/Facilitator |
We "Boomers" are now the "Sandwich" generation and we need to learn to take care of ourselves in order to be there for our family members who need us.

SOMETHING TO REMEMBER
"To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did". When God takes something from your grasp, he's not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better.
Concentrate on this sentence: "The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you." Something good will happen to you today, something that you have been waiting to hear.
Just 27 Words, 'God our Father , walk through my house and take away all my worries and illnesses, and please watch over and heal my family; in your name, Amen.'
